Phnom Penh [Combodia], Mar 10 (ANI): In a bid to facilitate multiple currency payments, JCB, in collaboration with the ACLEDA Bank, has announced the issuance of debit card and credit card in Cambodia.
Speaking at the launch event, President of Acleda Bank In Channy said, "We, ACLEDA Bank, are very delighted to be partners with JCB, a world-class payment service, which is located in Japan. Moreover, this card will not only facilitate payment processing in the home country of "ACLEDA Bank" Network, but it will also make possible to process multiple currency payments anywhere and anytime around the world."
Acleda Bank, which started as an NGO supporting small and medium-sized enterprise, is a commercial bank that has a major role in Cambodia's economic development.
"As cashless is becoming more globalized, citizens will be able to use settlements in two currencies: US Dollar and Cambodian Riel. In this regard, the Japanese card company 'JCB' with its global network will be a great partner to 'Acleda Bank'," added Channy
"To expand business across the globe, JCB will focus on providing added value, such as privilege and discounts, in addition to the payment function. Right now, for people travelling outside Cambodia, JCB offers more than 3, 000 privileges and discount for dining and shopping as well as transportation and sightseeing spots," said Kimihisa Imada of JCB international.
