Ethiopian Airlines flight to Nairobi crashes, casualties feared

Adis Ababa [Ethiopia], Mar 10 (ANI): An Ethiopian Airlines flight, en route to Nairobi in Kenya, crashed in Bishoftu shortly after taking off on Sunday, according to the Ethiopian Airlines.

Adis Ababa [Ethiopia], Mar 10 (ANI): An Ethiopian Airlines flight, en route to Nairobi in Kenya, crashed in Bishoftu shortly after taking off on Sunday, according to the Ethiopian Airlines.
The Boeing 737 took off from Bole International Airport here at 8:38 am. No contact could be established with the flight after 8:44 am.
Casualties are expected as 149 passengers and eight crew members were on board flight number ET 302 at the time of the incident, according to the airlines. 
"The Office of the PM, on behalf of the Government and people of Ethiopia, would like to express it’s deepest condolences to the families of those that have lost their loved ones on Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 on regular scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya this morning," Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed tweeted.
Investigations have been launched to ascertain the cause behind the crash. The airlines will be sending staff at the site of the incident to assist emergency services.
