Deal mercilessly with Boko Haram: Nigerian Theatre Commander

Abuja [Nigeria], Sept 22 (NAN/ANI) The Theatre Commander of Nigeria's Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj Gen Abba Dikko, has asked troops of the operation to redouble their efforts in the ongoing counter insurgency operations.
Dikko while addressing his troops on Friday also ordered them to mercilessly deal with Boko Haram whenever they attacked any military formation.
Dikko described the success recorded against the terrorists by the troops of the sector at Damasak, the headquarters of 145 Battalion as great. The troops inflicted heavy casualties on the insurgents when the terrorists attacked their location in the town on September 11.
He added that troops of the Rapid Development Force (RDF) will soon arrive Kinnasara Cantonment, Monguno for deployment to support the ongoing operations. Dikko said that the command would also organise an in-house training on counter terrorism campaign for new troops that would be deployed to the sector. (NAN/ANI)
