Boko Haram claims school kidnapping in northern Nigeria

The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has reported significant damage to civilian infrastructure across Iran following the ongoing military campaign by US and Israeli forces, which began on February 28, 2026. The IRCS said that more than 19,000 civilian units across the country have been damaged as a result of US-Israeli airstrikes.

Reports indicate a US missile strike hit a school in Khomeyn, central Iran. This comes as the IRGC vowed to "determine" the war's end, rejecting US claims of a "short-term excursion." Experts and newly surfaced video evidence point to a US-made Tomahawk missile striking an IRGC complex adjacent to a girls' school in Iran, where 168 died. While President Trump denied US responsibility, blaming Iranian "inaccuracy," analysts suggest the footage indicates a US strike within the residential area.

US President Donald Trump on Saturday (US local time) claimed that the United States had wiped off the entire leadership in Iran and called the actions as getting rid of a major 'cancer' off the face of earth. When asked whether the United States was responsible for the bombing of an elementary girls' school in Iran, Trump flat out denied the allegations and instead called Iran of bombing the school slating inaccuracy of Iranian weapons as a reason.

The Chinese government has sentenced Palden Yeshe, a Tibetan monk, to six years in prison for teaching Tibetan language to over 300 students during their school holidays, drawing renewed criticism over China's tightening restrictions on Tibetan cultural and linguistic practices, as reported by Radio Station Voice of Tibet (VoT) and cited by Phayul.
