Trump's revised travel ban blocked again by US appeals court
London [UK], June. 13 (ANI): President Donald Trump's revised travel ban has run into a new hurdle, as another federal appeals court has upheld the decision to block the ban. The ruling by the unanimous three-judge panel of the ninth US circuit court of appeals has dealt the Trump administration another legal defeat, as the Supreme Court is considering yet another separate case on the issue. The judges have accused the President of violating US immigration law by discriminating against people based on their nationality and that Trump also failed to prove in any way that their entry into the country would hurt American interests, reports the Guardian. However, they didn't rule on whether the travel ban violated the constitution's ban on the government officially favoring or disfavoring any religion. On May 25th, the fourth US circuit court of appeals in Virginia also ruled against the travel ban. (ANI)
