Istanbul [Turkey] Sept. 22 (ANI): A small private jet, carrying five people onboard, ran off a runway at Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport and caught fire on Thursday.

Private jet carrying five onboard crashes on landing at Istanbul Airport

Istanbul [Turkey] Sept. 22 (ANI): A small private jet, carrying five people onboard, ran off a runway at Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport and caught fire on Thursday.

As per local media reports, the jet, heading to the Ercan Airport in northern Cyprus, crashed after reporting a malfunction as it was taking off.

The police said that the jet's two pilots, a cabin crew member and a passenger were slightly injured in the crash.

Istanbul Airport 'was closed after the incident, later the Turkish Airlines later informed that both runways at the airport were now operational. (ANI)
