India and Israel further strengthened their defence partnership during the historic visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Israel after nine years. The two countries acknowledged the growth made in defence cooperation and also reaffirmed their commitment to other aspects such as cybersecurity and cross-border terrorism. Beyond these current projects, India remains prepared to scale its engagement in alignment with international peace efforts.

Addressing the media in Jerusalem at the conclusion of PM Modi's visit, Misri noted that while the project remains a priority, "the regional situation does weigh on the progress of the initiative," as stable ties among participating corridor nations are essential for its success.
