Sitharaman meets Russian minister to strengthen defence cooperation
Moscow [Russia], Apr 3 (ANI): Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday met Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Manturov here and discussed strategies to strengthen defence cooperation between the two countries.

"Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry & Trade, Russian Federation and Sitharaman discussed strategies to strengthen defence production cooperation at a bilateral meeting in Moscow," the Official Twitter handle of the Defence Minister said.

The discussion in the bilateral meeting focused on enhancing defence production cooperation and creating synergy between the defence industries of Russia and India.
Sitharaman also met her Russian counterpart Sergey Shoigu and stressed for stronger defence cooperation between the two sides.
The Indian Embassy in Russia posted an image of the meeting on their Twitter handle.

Sitharaman is currently on a three-day visit to Russia to attend the seventh Moscow Conference on International Security. This is her first visit to Russia after taking over as the defence minister. (ANI)
