Greece receives French-made Rafale fighter jets

The Ministry of Civil Aviation is closely monitoring the evolving situation in the West Asia region and its impact on air travel between India and countries in the region. Airlines are undertaking necessary operational adjustments in view of the prevailing conditions to ensure passenger safety and the orderly conduct of flight operations.

Jaishankar said in a post on X, "Appreciate the exchange of assessments today with FM Jean-Noël Barrot of France on the West Asia conflict. Look forward to continuing it in person."

As the ongoing conflict in West Asia entered its 11th day, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on Tuesday said that "today will be yet again our most intense day of strikes inside Iran", signalling a further escalation in the joint military operations against the Islamic Regime.

Reports indicate a US missile strike hit a school in Khomeyn, central Iran. This comes as the IRGC vowed to "determine" the war's end, rejecting US claims of a "short-term excursion." Amid threats to global oil supplies, Russia and France are pursuing diplomatic and defensive measures to stabilise the region.

The Pentagon spent USD 5.6 billion on munitions in just two days against Iran, sparking fears over a "scarce supply" of advanced weapons. As the military shifts to cheaper bombs, assets are being rerouted from the Indo-Pacific, raising concerns about US "readiness" for other global threats.
