London [United Kingdom], June 8 (ANI): British Prime Minister Theresa May and her Brexit secretary David Davis are in a fix over a deal to keep Britain linked to the European Customs Union after Brexit.
As per the media reports, Davis was against the Prime Minister 's plans of a customs backstop to avoid a hard border between Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic.
The cabinet has divided opinion over if it should include a specific time limit for the backstop solution, Xinhua reported.
The crucial voting on May's Brexit Withdrawal bill in the House of Commons is yet to take place.
Brexit is the prospective withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (EU).
On June 23, 2016, in a referendum, 51.9 percent of the participating UK electorate voted to leave the EU, out of a turnout of 72.2 percent. (ANI)
