Women gang-raped by Taliban militants in Afghanistan
Kabul, July 31 (ANI): The local security officials on Sunday said that a group of the Taliban militants have allegedly gang-raped a woman in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province. An official speaking on the condition of anonymity said the incident took place four days ago in Balo Jan village in Nahr-e-Saraj district, reports the Khaama Press. He added four Taliban insurgents, fighting under the command of their commander identified as Omari, were involved in the incident. According to the official, the Taliban insurgents forced into a residential house and raped the woman in front of the children. The official said that the individuals involved in the incident have been arrested by commander Omari, adding the woman has been warned to keep the issue as a secret without informing anyone. So far, the Taliban militants have not commented regarding the report. Reports suggest this is not the first time that the insurgent group has committed such heinous crime against the civilians of the country. (ANI)
