Unidentified miscreants set fire to houses of 20 Hindus in Bangladesh

The exhibition displayed a series of photographs and visual documentation portraying the hardships faced by religious and ethnic minorities, including Hindus, Christians, Sindhis, and Balochs, it also highlighted the constant oppression in Balochistan through enforced disappearances of young individuals, including both men and women, as well as forced conversions of minorities in Pakistan and arrests of several political leaders including Dr Mahrang Baloch. The exhibition aimed to draw international attention to what they described as systemic discrimination and political repression affecting these communities. Two persons were murdered in Bogura and Cox's Bazar, on March 6 and March 7, while crude bombs were thrown at a Hindu temple in Cumilla city during a puja on March 8, triggering significant panic, as per rights group the Bangladesh Jatio Hindu Mohajote (Bangladesh National Grand Alliance).

The Bangladesh Election Commission says it is duty bound to to protect the voting rights of minorities and ensure a peaceful poll.

Amid the cold weather conditions, a large crowd gathered at the Parliament Square in London in a demonstration calling for international attention against the continued torture, persecution and killing of minorities in Bangladesh.
