Peshawar [Pakistan], Jan. 24(ANI): Two suicide jackets were recovered by the police from a mosque on the outskirts of Peshawar, capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. However, no arrests have been made till now. The Dawn quoted an official at the Paharipura police station as saying that the police personnel acting on a tip-off checked Abu Bakar mosque near Benazir Hospital along the motorway. "The cops recovered two suicide jackets containing about five kilograms explosives from the room of the prayer leader of the mosque," he said. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) operations Sajjad Khan said the police defused the explosives, adding a search operation was also being conducted in the area to arrest the culprits. The Counter-Terrorism Department has registered an FIR and further investigation is on. (ANI)
