Trump slams 'fake news media' again, rubbishes reports of smooth immigration in Sweden
New Delhi [India], Feb. 20 (ANI): U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday continued his tirade against 'fake news media', saying that its claim of large scale immigration in Sweden working out beautifully is incorrect. "Give the public a break - The FAKE NEWS media is trying to say that large scale immigration in Sweden is working out just beautifully. NOT!" he tweeted. Earlier today, in a reference to his "what's happening in Sweden" remark, Trump came out to defend his statement on Twitter. He tweeted that it was in reference to a story broadcasted by Fox News. "My statement as to what's happening in Sweden was in reference to a story that was broadcast on @FoxNews concerning immigrants & Sweden," he tweeted. Trump was speaking at his 'Make America Great Again' rally in Florida on Saturday, where he was promoting the message about keeping his country safe. "Sweden. Who would believe this? Sweden. They took in large numbers," he told the rally. "They're having problems like they never thought possible," he said. Trump then listed several European cities that have suffered high profile terror attacks, including Paris and Brussels. The context of his remarks led many social media users, including Carl Bildt, a former prime minister and foreign minister of Sweden, to assume that Trump meant there had been a terror attack in Sweden the night before. "Sweden? Terror attack? What has he been smoking? Questions abound," Bildt wrote on Twitter referring to the fact that no high profile attack had occurred in Sweden the night before his speech.
