Trump holds Iranian regime responsible for 'instability' in Middle-east
Riyadh [Saudi Arabia], May 21 (ANI): United States President Donald Trump has lashed out at Iran, citing Tehran was responsible for the instability in the Middle-East. While delivering a speech on Sunday during an Arab-Islamic-American summit in Riyadh, Trump said Tehran "calls to eliminate Israel, but is continously arming and funding Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, whose regime has inflicted terror on its own people by orchestrating chemical attacks." Urging the Muslim world to join hands to eradicate the menace of the ISIS and stabilise the region, Trump said, "Responsible nations must work together to end the humanitarian crisis in Syria, and eradicate the ISIS, the Al-Qaida, the Hezbollah and the Hamas, which are responsible for generations of vanished dreams. Criticising the Iranian regime and its policies, Trump said "Iran's main victims are its own citizens, who suffer from the regime's policies." "All nations must work together to isolate it, and deny its from funding terrorism," he said. Trump and leaders of the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries -- Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates -- began a summit meeting here on Sunday. Saudi Arabia marks the beginning of Trump's first foreign trip as President that includes visits to Israel, the Vatican City, Belgium and Italy where he is to take part in NATO and G7 summits. (ANI)
