Taliban militants in uniform kill six Afghan policemen
Kabul [Afghanistan], Mar.6 (ANI): At least six policemen were killed by a group of Taliban militants wearing security forces' uniform in northern Afghanistan. News agency Anadolu quoted General Abdul Hamid Hamid stating that a large group of Taliban fighters attacked the check post of the Afghan Local Police (ALP) in Kunduz province early Sunday morning. Safiullah Amiri, a member of the provincial council, said the attackers fled the scene with the arms and equipment belonging to the security forces. Meanwhile, eastern Laghman province Governor Abdul Jabar Naeemi claimed that Taliban's major assault on the provincial capital Mehtarlam was stopped by the security forces. Naeemi said 69 militants have been killed and over 40 others wounded as the security thwarted the militants' bid to overrun the city. The latest attack comes days after Taliban's shadow governor for Kunduz, Mullah Abdul Salam Akhund, was killed last Sunday in an air raid by Afghan forces. (ANI)

"The countries of the region must clarify their stance regarding the aggressors against our dear homeland and the killers of our people.
