Sufism Pakistan's first line of defence against terrorism: Bilawal Bhutto
Karachi (Sindh) [Pakistan): Sufism is the country's first line of defence against terrorism, said PPP Chairmain Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday. "Our first line of defence against extremism is Sufism and its message of peace, and it will be beneficial for us if we were to add its message to our curriculum," Bilawal said at the inaugural session of the Jhark Malaka Bridge, which connects Tando Mohammad Khan to Thatta, reports the Dawn. He was answering a question about adding Lal Shahbaz Qalandar's ideology to the Sindh curriculum. On the Panamagate case, he said, "History tells us that there has never been a court verdict against the Sharifs before, which tells us that we should not be too hopeful, but we are waiting for it nonetheless." He also said that he was waiting for Supreme Court's verdict on Panamagate before deciding when his father and he would become members of parliament again. Jhark Malaka is the longest bridge to be built over the Indus River at a cost of Rs.4.02 billion. It is the second project completed under a public-private partnership, while the Hyderabad-Mirpur Khas road was the first. (ANI)
