Sri Lanka to host national anti-corruption summit in December
Colombo [Sri Lanka], Oct. 2 (ANI): The Sri Lankan government is planning to hold the National Anti-corruption Summit 2016 in Colombo on December 9, which will see the participation of about 700 local and foreign representatives. The Cabinet has already approved a proposal in this regard tabled by the Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development, Sagala Ratnayake, reports the Colombo Page. The objective of the summit is to educate politicians, senior officers in the public and private sector, other relevant parties and the general public to create a corruption-free society, and to generate a discourse on eradicating bribes and corruption in society.
