Kabul [Afghanistan], Sept. 12 (ANI): The police chief of Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, General Zarawar Zahid, has been killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion in Hesarak district. General Zahir was killed yesterday and the news was confirmed by the governor's spokesman, Ataullah Khogyani, reports the Khaama Press. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the incident. General Zahid is said to be the second senior police official killed in the past one week in attacks for which the Taliban has claimed responsibility. (ANI)
