Bangkok [Thailand], Nov. 10 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid homage to late Thai King Bhumibol Adulyade. Prime Minister Modi visited the Grand Palace and paid homage to the late King, who passed away last month, in Dulsit Maha Prasat Hall. The Prime Minister earlier today landed in Bangkok en-route to Japan to attend the annual summit meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. He will have an audience with the Emperor of Japan in Tokyo tomorrow. Ahead of his visit, the Prime Minister in a statement yesterday said that from Tokyo, he along with Mr. Abe will travel to Kobe by the famed Shinkansen bullet train, the technology that will be deployed for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Railway. He will visit the Kawasaki Heavy Industries facility in Kobe, where high speed railway is manufactured. The Prime Minister said the high speed railway cooperation between the two countries is a shining example of bilateral cooperation. He said it will not only boost trade and investment ties but also create skilled jobs in India, improve infrastructure and give a boost to the 'Make in India' mission. (ANI)
