According to Dr Mohammad Momin Khan, President of the All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA) J-K, nearly all students from Urmia University of Medical Sciences are planning to return. A group of over 30 students has already booked tickets and is expected to reach New Delhi on March 15 via Dubai, while others are scheduled to arrive on March 16.

Khan assured all Indians that the embassy would assist them in need.

The meeting comes against the backdrop of several days of fighting between Afghan and Pakistani forces, which has sparked concern in Beijing over the potential impact on regional stability.

Amid escalated cross-border tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan, the Ministry of National Defense of the Islamic Emirate stated that it had carried out airstrikes on major military installations in Pakistan, including the Nur Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi, describing the action as a response to Pakistani air raids on Afghan territory.

Baloch nationalist leader Hyrbyair Marri has levelled strong allegations against Pakistan, accusing it of repeated military aggression against Afghanistan and continued occupation of Balochistan, in a detailed post shared on X.

In a post on X, he said," The Pakistani aircraft once again bombed Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia. The Afghans will defend their beloved homeland with complete unity in all circumstances and will respond to aggression with courage...."

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has moved the Supreme Court seeking urgent medical treatment for jailed founder Imran Khan, Dawn reported. The plea requests his transfer to Shifa International Hospital for specialised eye care and access to personal doctors, citing transparency and health concerns.

According to Dawn, during a session of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, chaired by Rana Iradat Sharif Khan, officials disclosed that while the railways generated an operational surplus of Pakistani Rupees (PKR) 2.4 billion, its immediate obligations have reached PKR 27.4 billion.
