Pak ready to give befitting response to misadventure from across border: Jilani
Islamabad [Pakistan], Sept. 26 (ANI): Asserting that Islamabad wants peace and stability in the region, Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States, Jalil Abbas Jilani has said that a befitting response will to given in case of any misadventure from across the border. Jilani made the remarks while speaking at the inaugural sub-convention of the Pakistani-American Community, at East West University, Chicago, reports Radio Pakistan. Jilani maintained that Pakistan's defence has become impregnable over the years and the country has successfully conducted counter-insurgency operations and reversed the tide of extremism. Dismissing the impression that Pakistan had been isolated in the international community, Jilani referred to recent meetings of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in New York with his counterparts from UK, China, New Zealand, Iran and the US. He also urged the Pakistani-American Community to play their due role in building positive image of Islamabad. (ANI)

MEA rejects Pakistan’s statement on India-Canada deal

"We reject this statement made by Pakistan on the matter. India's credentials regarding non-proliferation are impeccable and well recognised by the global community. A country with a well-documented history of clandestine nuclear proliferation can hardly preach the virtues of export controls and proliferation risks. Such ludicrous statements are nothing more than an attempt by Pakistan to distract from its own abysmal record," he said.
