Pak Interior Minister urges international community to join hands for peace
Islamabad [Pakistan], Mar. 16 (ANI): Pakistan's Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has urged the international community to join hands for peace, stability and development. He said that intervention of the international community in longstanding regional issues only when it suited them or for some short-term goals has never yielded positive results. Khan warned that international community's mistrust and blame-game would make non-state actors and peace saboteurs stronger. "I feel humiliated when my religion is targeted and equated with terrorism," Dawn quoted Nisar as saying. He added that in fact 1.2 billion Muslims were the worst sufferers and victims of terrorism. Khan asked the international community to differentiate between terrorism and freedom movements. He was chairing the closing session of a two-day Pak-UK International Seminar on 'Sharing Experiences in Stabilisation and Peace Efforts' at the National Defence University on Wednesday. (ANI)
