Nepal: RJP-N office bearers meet over Constitution Amendment bill
By Binod Prasad Adhikari Kathmandu [Nepal], August 2 (ANI): The long time agitating parties of Nepal now aligned under single party, Rastriya Janata Party- Nepal's started its office bearers meeting in Kathmandu on Wednesday. The RJP-N also inaugurated its new party office today. The new office, which the leaders said is temporary, is located in Babarmahal in the house of the Nepal Madhesi Civil Servants Employees' Forum and was jointly inaugurated by five leaders of the Presidium of the RJP-N, Mahanta Thakur, Rajendra Mahato, Mahendra Raya Yadav, Sharat Singh Bhandari and Anil Jha. The meeting is said to be centric over the issue of constitution amendment along with the participation in election with the fresh talks over the present political happenings. After the inaugural ceremony the meeting of the office bearers also kick started from Wednesday which will conclude on Friday. RJP-N's meeting which started from Wednesday is being attended by 134 office bearers but the dispute over the portfolio row has emerged from the first day of the meeting. The issue of hierarchy and the portfolio took over as soon as the officials of the party gathered in the hall. As the RJP-N is the unified form of Madhesh based agitating parties of Nepal, it is engulfed by portfolio row and break away within the months of its formation as one of the leader, Hrideyesh Tripathy is working to form a separate party focusing on the province no.5.
