JuD holds 'anti-India' march from Lahore to Islamabad
Lahore (Pakistan), July 21 (ANI): Banned militant outfit Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) held an 'anti-India' march from Lahore to Islamabad over the Kashmir issue on Wednesday. A prominent banner at the rally accused both India and United States of 'occupying' Kashmir. "US India together in occupation and genocide - Kashmir wants freedom," the banner read. According to reports, the march for Islamabad started from Lahore's Mall Road amid cheers from workers of Jamaat-ud-Dawah and other outfits in Pakistan. Jamaat-e-Islami and other religious parties are expected to join the rally at places such as Muridke and Gujranwala in Punjab province. Mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attack, Hafiz Saeed, who led the "Kashmir Caravan", reportedly spewed venom against India in his speech and dared New Delhi to stop them. He also hinted at holding a march into Kashmir, adding that he would continue his march till "Kashmiris get freedom." Reports state that Saeed also asked the Pakistan government to immediately suspend diplomatic and trade ties with India, expel the Indian envoy and recall its high commissioner from New Delhi. Pakistan had yesterday observed a "Black Day" to express solidarity with the Kashmiris. After Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani's death, Kashmir is on boil and around 44 people have been killed and over 3,000 including 1,600 civilians injured in clashes between youth and security men during protests.
