Japanese companies make inroad into Thai market
Bangkok [Thailand], Mar. 22 (ANI): Storage of data is an essential part of digital transformation in modern era. NTT Communications, one of the largest IT service providers in the world, runs system integration and network services in the Mekong area of Thailand. Bangkok 2 Data Center is the biggest storage area around the Easter Economic Corridor. Safe from natural disasters and other calamity, the data center meets NTT Communications' high global data center standard. "Quality-wise, we are the first international data center operators in Thailand. Customers can benefit from our knowledge worldwide. We can have clients connect to any provider of ISP and any local telecommunication inside our data center. We believe that our data center can provide customer with more cost efficiency compared with what they do on their own," said Suthipat Lueprasert, Chief Technology Officer, NTT Communications (Thailand) Co., Ltd. As a submarine cable service provider in the world, there are plans to provide sub-marine cable services to the neighbouring countries. The data service environment in the Mekong area will become more and more enriching. "As a hub in the Mekong area, our data center provides services that we emphasize with our network partners, and enhances network services from Thailand to Myanmar, Lao, and Cambodia," said Manabu Kahara, President, NTT Communications (Thailand) Co., Ltd. As the leader in solar power in ASEAN, Thailand is the driving force behind the development of this market. Sharing the same vision and determination, Japan-based Kyocera cultivated a partnership with SPCG, Thailand's leader in solar project development. Kyocera, which started R&D to manufacture solar panels more than 40 years ago, is now expanding its business worldwide. The SPCG developed 35 solar farms utilizing Kyocera panels and is now expanding the business to rooftop solar systems, thereby supporting the people in producing clean energy for their own consumption. "As Dr Inamori, who is the founder of Kyocera Corporation says, his belief is "What is the right thing to do as a human being". He will always do his best as much as he can. That is why I believe in Kyocera Corporation, because it's a company with philosophy. Strength of the company and strength of quality is the key, so SPCG is pleased to choose Kyocera to be used in our solar farm since 2010," said Wandee Khunchornyakong Juljarern, Chairperson and CEO, SPCG Public Company Limited. SPCG and Kyocera continually commit to promote solar energy use in Southeast Asia. "Southeast Asia has many countries with a high solar irradiation. I believe the market potential for solar as clean energy is very high. Kyocera and SPCG will contribute to the expansion of renewable energy by using solar system with high reliability," said Kazunori Minamikawa, Dy. GM, Solar Energy Division, KYOCERA Asia Pacific (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Since August 2016, Meidensha Corporation has initiated an endowed lecture in King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) of Thailand targeted with senior student group activities in the Electrical Engineering major. On October 2016 and February 2017, keynote lectures were held to introduce the latest technologies. Students listened eagerly, exchanged questions and answered lively after the lectures. The students with good result of the lectures will join the internship at Meidensha Numazu plant in Japan. Before the internship starts, the faculties at KMITL had a plant tour. Including observing the production lines, visiting environmental materials analysis center, faculties highly interested in the basic research of quality improvement and quantitative evaluations. "Their motivation is that they feel their career in the future, and they know what they should work in the future and what they should prepare now for their future career," said Dr Sompob polmai, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. "The impression is the Japanese style, the Meidensha style, the working style, the Meidensha system is very very good and is very beneficial for Thai people," said Dr. Issarachai Ngamroo, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. "I think our students can not only learn about technology, but also about the culture and how to work in a Japanese company. This company is, I can say, maybe one of the most successful companies in Japan," Said Dr. Supat Kittiratsatcha, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. The connection between corporations and the Southeast Asia area will be more improved due to educational exchanges. (ANI)
