India's claim on Kashmir a 'total lie': Pak Foreign Secretary
Islamabad [Pakistan], Sept. 27 (ANI): Pakistan Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry on Tuesday said India's position on the Kashmir issue had been rejected by the world at the United Nations General Assembly, adding that New Delhi's claim regarding Kashmir is "a total lie". In an interview to PTV, Chaudhary said India has failed to divert the world attention from the Kashmir issue by talking about the Uri attack. He said the blame of an incident could be put on someone when even the investigation had not been started. He said Kashmir has been on the agenda of the UN Security Council with several resolutions on the issue, and India's claim regarding Kashmir is a total lie. The Pakistan Foreign Secretary said that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and the secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation also expressed their concern over the Kashmir issue, whereas Turkey demanded sending a fact finding mission to Kashmir. Reiterating Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's claim that Burhan Wani has emerged as the leader of the new intifada in Kashmir, Radio Pakistan reported Chaudhry as saying, "Islamabad would continue extending moral, diplomatic, and political support to the Kashmir." Talking about India and Pakistan dialogue, Chaudhary said, "Pakistan never denied any talks with India, and it is India that suspended or cancelled talks on one pretext or the other." (ANI)
