France, China sign deals on nuclear energy, science
Hong Kong [China], Feb.22 (ANI): China and France have signed agreements for cooperation on nuclear energy and science. The agreements were signed during French Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve's three-day official visit to Beijing, starting February 21. During talks with Prime Minister Cazeneuve, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said China is willing to work with France to deepen cooperation in the whole industrial chain of nuclear energy. He hoped both sides would ensure a smooth implementation of the Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant program and discuss joint development of the third-party nuclear power market. Li, according to a report by the Xinhua news agency, said both sides should also explore cooperation in civil aviation and space industries, and deepen cooperation in coping with climate change, and speed up the eco-city project in Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei Province. He also hoped the two countries to explore cooperation in whole industrial chain of agriculture, medicine and health, as well as coping with an aging society. (ANI)

MEA rejects Pakistan’s statement on India-Canada deal

MEA rejects Pakistan’s statement on India-Canada deal

"We reject this statement made by Pakistan on the matter. India's credentials regarding non-proliferation are impeccable and well recognised by the global community. A country with a well-documented history of clandestine nuclear proliferation can hardly preach the virtues of export controls and proliferation risks. Such ludicrous statements are nothing more than an attempt by Pakistan to distract from its own abysmal record," he said.
