Kathmandu [Nepal], Aug 9 (ANI): Four dead bodies were pulled from the rubble by rescue officials after a landslide hit a village in Nepal's Rasuwa district.

Kathmandu [Nepal], Aug 9 (ANI): Four dead bodies were pulled from the rubble by rescue officials after a landslide hit a village in Nepal's Rasuwa district. Pairebesi in Uttatgaya Rural Municipality four of Rasuwa district was hit by a massive landslide on Sunday night destroying 15 houses in the area. Nepal Army identified the unearthed bodies as Dharma Bahadur Thapa Magar, Muna Thapa Magar, Rabin Thapa Magar and Bhakta Bahadur Nagarkoti. They all went missing after the slope of land buried their house Sunday night. After the calamity about 20 houses in the area are said to be under high risk. The land area around the Rasuwa is said to be fragile due the shakes caused by earthquake of 2015 and its aftershocks as many epicenters lies in the district. Rasuwa also covers the part of the Langtang National Park of Nepal where a village was wiped out by an avalanche after the massive earthquake in 2015. The landslide prone district Rasuwa of Nepal is about 40 Kilometers far from capital Kathmandu and lies at a distance of about 400km from Tibet, China. (ANI)
