Female police officers shot dead by Taliban militants in Afghanistan
Faizabad [Afghanistan], June 29 (ANI): Two female police officers have reportedly been shot dead by Taliban militants in the northern Afghanistan's Badakhshan province. Xinhua news agency quoted a police spokesman in the northern region Mahfozullah Akbari as saying on Thursday that the Taliban insurgents had shot dead two female police officers, who had gone to their home in Spin Gul village of Argo district on Wednesday. However, the Taliban has not commented on the report so far. Taliban militants had banned the education for girls and work for women outside home during their reign which collapsed in late 2001.
