Fedral Alliance in Nepal decides to protest on basis of public opinion
By Binod Prasad Adhikari Kathmandu [Nepal], Dec. 22 (ANI): A disgruntled alliance of about 30 Nepali political parties, known as Federal Alliance has decided to go on protest on the basis of public opinion. A meeting of the Federal Alliance was held in Capital Kathmandu on Thursday and it was decided to hold an interaction program within a week. After the interaction program, the alliance will collect the opinion of the public from all ten states and then determine the module of protest to be followed. The meeting enforced the government to go ahead with the demand for n amendment of the constitution in parliament. The alliance also decried the steps initiated by the opposition CPN-UML to obstruct parliamentary procedure. Terming the movement of the CPN-UML as "racial" and disrupting the cooperation inside the country, the alliance blamed the opposition for taking the country in the direction of another civil war. The alliance requested the opposition not to encourage regression and respect the achievements of various movements. (ANI)
