Federal Alliance to support 'no-confidence motion' against PM Oli
Kathmandu, July 18 (ANI): The Federal Alliance, which includes the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) along with two dozen other parties and ethnic groups, has decided to actively support the no-confidence motion registered against Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli at the Legislature Parliament. A meeting of the alliance held on Monday decided to extend full support to the no-confidence motion in a bid to topple the incumbent government. The alliance leaders said that Prime Minister Oli's ego has led to disruption of talks between the government and the alliance, which now sees the current political situation as an opportune moment to obtain revenge. However, the alliance hasn't decided anything yet on joining the new government. "Our demands are not related to the government, but to the Constitution. So, we have no plans right now of joining the government," said alliance leader Sharat Singh Bhandari. "We will decide later about joining the government based on the policy adopted by the new government," he added. The alliance also claimed that the no-confidence motion registered against the Prime Minister was a result of their agitation. Bhandari pointed that the month-long relay hunger strike organized by the alliance drew the attention of national and international communities, adding its effect was the no-trust motion against the Prime Minister.
