Dahal should prioritise amending Constitution to meet Madhesi demands, says leader
Biratnagar [Nepal], Sept. 13 (ANI): Asserting that Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal led- government has not yet shown any interest in Constitution amendment, Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav on Tuesday said the government should prioritise Madhesi-related issues. Speaking to media at Biratnagar Airport, Yadav said that the government has been delaying the implementation of a three-point deal. "Major political parties should stand together to make the constitution acceptable to all by addressing the issues of Madhes.. It would not be enough only by registering the constitution amendment proposal in the Parliament," the Himalayan Times quoted him, as saying. On Dahal'a upcoming visit to India, Yadav said the visit should not be connected with the Constitution amendment as it is Nepal's internal matter. (ANI)
