CPEC will strengthen ties between Pakistan and China, says Sindh Governor
Karachi (Sindh) [Pakistan], Feb.27 (ANI): The Governor of Pakistan's Sindh province, Muhammad Zubair, has said that both Pakistan and China will stand to benefit from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in both the short and long term. This message was conveyed by him to China's Consul General Wang Yu when the latter called on him at the Governor House in Karachi on Monday, reports Radio Pakistan. The Governor said there are countless opportunities for cooperation between China and Pakistan, given the vast and conducive environment for investment in Karachi, Pakistan's economic hub. Zubair informed Yu that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is also paying special attention to the economic sector and his policies have attracted foreign investment. He said that inclusion of Karachi Circular Railway Project in the CPEC is a good sign and will help in the early completion of the project. He assured the Chinese Consul General of cooperation and fool proof security to all Chinese working on the CPEC project. The Chinese Consul General said that with the completion of CPEC project, Pakistan will enter in a new era of fast pace development. (ANI)
