Beijing [China], June 15 (ANI) :Seven people were killed and 66 people were injured in a deadly blast that occured at teh entrance to a kindergarten in east China on Thursday, according to Chinese state media.

Beijing [China], June 15 (ANI) :Seven people were killed and 66 people were injured in a deadly blast that occured at teh entrance to a kindergarten in east China on Thursday, according to Chinese state media. Nine are in serious condition as the powerful explosion occurred in front of the gate of the Chuangxin Kindergarten at around 4:50 p.m., CNN quoted Fengxian police officials as saying. "The police and related departments rushed to the scene as soon as it was reported and conducted rescue and investigation work on the site," police said on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform similar to Twitter. "Currently, the investigation work is still underway." There are fears of many casualties as dozens of people, including children are lying on the ground, some of whom were bleeding. Local police said a number of people were injured in the blast. The investigation into the blast has been initiated. "Local emergency services have rushed to the scene but the cause of the explosion is not yet known," The Global Times reported.(ANI)
