Dhaka [Bangladesh], Jan. 7 (ANI): Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced for a countrywide agitation on Sunday to mark the third anniversary of the January 5 election which it calls as "Democracy Killing Day". The party said that they are also protesting for not being allowed to hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka. The announcement was made by BNP Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed at a press briefing at its Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka. "We will hold demonstration programmes in every upazila, district and city and wards of Dhaka," the Daily Star quoted, Ahmed as saying. Police has been deployed in front of BNP's Nayapaltan office after the decision was announced. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir had said on Friday that his party is prepared to hold a rally in front of party's Nayapaltan central office if they are deprived of permission at the Suhrawardy Udyan.
