New Delhi, Aug. 9 (ANI): Hailing the passage of Goods and Services Tax Bill in the Lower House of the parliament as a 'histori'c bill after it was passed by the Rajya Sabha, BJP leader Nalin Kohli said he hoped the bill is also cleared after being sent to the state assemblies for approval receiving President's nod. Kohli said the GST bill will make India a more consolidate market and help economically every segment of the society. "GST is a historic bill. It's an extremely important piece of important legislation that will make India a more consolidate market and help economically every segment of society and that it is being passed with a consensus among all political parties is a healthy sign. Now we hope the next steps will also happen in the same manner," Kohli told ANI. He added that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government he hopes that with the cooperation of all political parties India will benefit with GST. Paving the way for the roll out of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill, the Lok Sabha on Monday unanimously passed amendments to 122nd Constitution Amendment Bill as approved by the Rajya Sabha. The Constitutional Amendment Bill (122nd) was put to vote in Lok Sabha, where it was cleared with the votes of 443 members. The bill will now be sent to state assemblies for approval after the President's approval. (ANI)
