US Assistant Secretary Ryan to visit India, Nepal from Sept. 26-30

Washington, DC [USA], Sept. 24 (ANI): United States Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs, Evan Ryan will be visiting India and Nepal from September 26-30 in a bid to explore opportunities to further strengthen people to people relations.

US Assistant Secretary Ryan to visit India, Nepal from Sept. 26-30
Washington, DC [USA], Sept. 24 (ANI): United States Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs, Evan Ryan will be visiting India and Nepal from September 26-30 in a bid to explore opportunities to further strengthen people to people relations. The U.S. Department of State Office of the Spokesperson in a statement said that Ryan will be visiting New Delhi on September 26-27 and will be meeting with exchange program participants, the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation projects near Humayun's Tomb UNESCO World Heritage site, and interact with local students. On September 28, she will be visiting Mumbai, where she will be interact with students at a women's college, visit an EducationUSA advising site, and meet with exchange program alumni who are leading entrepreneurs. After ending her engagements in India, Assistant Secretary Ryan will travel to Nepal's capital city Kathmandu from September 29-30. During her stay she will meet with Ministry of Education officials, engage an English Access classroom, and meet with Nepali youth working on community projects to promote entrepreneurship and women's and girls' empowerment, the statement added. In addition, she will also be visiting several cultural sites supported by the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation. Her visit to both the countries is said to explore opportunities to further strengthen people to people relations, including through educational collaboration, programming to empower women and girls, and cultural heritage preservation.
