Trump's decision on sending U.S. Troops to Afghanistan pending: McMaster
Washington D.C. [U.S.A.], May 13 (ANI): United States National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster on Friday stated that President Donald Trump hasn't yet made the decision on deployment of new U.S. forces into Afghanistan. Trump has "not determined yet whether he would send additional U.S. military troops to Afghanistan," McMaster said in a briefing. The Trump administration has consulted broadly on this matter across the U.S. Government and allies across the world, McMaster added. He also noted that in the next few weeks, the White House will have "an opportunity for creating a 'much more effective strategy' on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the region overall." (ANI)
