North Korea a 'big problem', will deal with it strongly: Trump
Washington D.C. [U.S.], Feb. 14 (ANI): With North Korea claiming to have successfully launched its new ballistic missile, United States President Donald Trump assured that he will deal with the reclusive country in a strong manner. Addressing the media here in a joint press conference with visiting Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Trump admitted that North Korea was a big problem indeed. "Obviously, North Korea is a big big problem, and we will deal with that very strongly. We have problems all over the Middle East and just about every corner of the globe no matter where you look," the President said in response to a question on the biggest national security threat based on the intelligence briefings that he has been receiving. Last Sunday, the Trump administration had maintained a cautious response to North Korea's test launch of an intermediate-range ballistic missile into the sea. "We are going to reinforce and strengthen our vital alliances in the Pacific region as part of our strategy to deter and prevent the increasing hostility that we've seen in recent years from the North Korean regime," said White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller. However, Japanese President Shinzo Abe, who spent the weekend at Trump's Florida resort for extended meetings and golfing session, told reporters that the launch was "absolutely intolerable" and that North Korea "must fully comply with the relevant U.N. Security Council resolutions" that bar Pyongyang from developing or testing ballistic or nuclear missile technology. The medium long-range ballistic missile, was test fired on Sunday under the supervision of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. (ANI)
