Israel PM hails Trump for war on 'radical Islam'
Washington D.C. [U.S.], Feb. 16 (ANI): Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hailed United States President Donald Trump for his crackdown on 'radical Islam' terrorism, adding that there is no better supporter for the Jewish people than Trump. Addressing a joint press conference with the U.S. President, Netanyahu said, "Under your leadership, I believe we can reverse the rising tide of radical Islam. Rolling back radical Islam, we can seize a historic opportunity." The Prime Minister further emphasized that it was for the first time in his life and in the history of the nation, that Arab countries in the region do not perceive Israel as an enemy. "This change in our region creates an unprecedented opportunity to strengthen security and advance peace," he said. "There is no greater supporter for the Jewish people and the Jewish state than President Donald Trump," Netanyahu added. During his presidential campaign, Trump had run on a strong pro-Israel platform and vowed to make defeating the Islamic State terrorist army, a top priority of his administration. Trump also said during the campaign that he would recognize Jerusalem as Israel's "undivided" capital, however, Trump has not signaled whether he will follow through on that pledge yet. (ANI)
