Yokohama city hosts a citywide music festival

Yokohama [Japan], Nov 10 (ANI): The song blue light Yokohama has been popular for a long time for describing the charm of Yokohama city.
The city of Yokohama hosts a citywide music festival called "Yokohama Otomatsuri," and this is one of 300 musical projects from this big festival, which lasts for 62 days.
The festival takes place every three years in various locations in Yokohama, inviting a wide range of musicians from local music groups to worldwide well-known artists.
On this day, both amateurs and professional musicians of all genres perform their special set inside one of the prominent shopping malls in Yokohama.
"We think that music is an art that can connect all sorts of people beyond language, regardless of one's age, gender, nationality, or disability. So we wanted to deliver such art to absolutely everyone to enjoy," said Yoshiki SOMA from the Yokohama City.
This performance is by a local gospel choir group "YCC Gospel lovers".
From a quiet song with a beautiful voice, pop music with dance fascinates the audience. Their energetic performance grabs attention across the mall.
"It's been almost 20 years since we started our group here in Yokohama. Our choir consists of three parts; soprano, alto and tenor and our age range from elementary school to seniors over 60 years old. We always practice together like a family," said the leader of the YCC Gospel lovers' group.
This day's last act is delivered by a Japanese pop and comedy duo, "Les Romanesques".
In a special show, singing and dancing with Japanese traditional song "Enka". The audience applauded the collaboration song with pops and "Enka".
A member of the Les Romanesques duo said, "I think Yokohama has a rich cultural impression. The fusion of pop and "Enka" seems to be the farthest, but I think it was a good match because I felt this song become popular music."
Yokohama has many cultures of port town history. Events that consider merging with towns create a new culture.
The music of "Yokohama Otomatsuri" flowing along the town gives visitors a good time. (ANI)
