Yeongam County: 8 killed in bus-SUV crash

Seoul [South Korea], May 1 (ANI): Eight people were killed and 11 were injured after a bus collided with a passenger vehicle and deflected from its path in South Korea's Yeongam County.

Seoul [South Korea], May 1 (ANI): Eight people were killed and 11 were injured after a bus collided with a passenger vehicle and deflected from its path in South Korea's Yeongam County.

The local bus was carrying 14 workers when the 25-seat mini-bus collided with a SsangYong Korando SUV at South Korea's Yeongam County in South Jeolla Province, South Korea's Yonhap News agency quoted local police as saying.

The bus passengers were majorly farm workers returning from a nearby farm when the incident took place.

As per the local police, four more passengers were injured in the passenger vehicle.

The rescue team has transported the injured to nearby hospitals. (ANI)
