Kathmandu [Nepal], Sept 22 (RSS/ANI): Nepal Prime Minister and Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the present government will not let the trust and confidence of the people towards it waver.
Addressing a program organised at the party office in Dhumbarahi to commemorate the 'Fourth Memorial Day' of the leader of the communist and democratic movement, late Sahana Pradhan, here on Saturday, he said the government has a clear vision, policy and program for country's prosperity.
He added that this vision, policy and, program is based on the people's trust and a strong organisation.
"There are people who are whining to weaken this people's trust towards the government. Nothing will happen due to this. We would not let the people's trust waver through our work. We are committed to fulfilling the lofty objectives of our predecessor leaders," Oli said.
Stating that nobody should panic when the communists unite, PM Oli said the government was ready to work together with the opposition party. He said the time has come for all citizens to fulfill the responsibility of prosperity working like the bees without getting entangled in minor issues since the phase of political change has been completed.
CPN co-chairman and former Nepal Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' said it was a courageous act of the late leader Sahana Pradhan to remain steadfast in her commitment to socialism and prosperity even amidst political, social and family adversities.
He opined that the unity of the communists has facilitated the journey to prosperity and socialism.
CPN leader Jhalanath Khanal recalled that the late leader Sahana Pradhan had played an inspiring role in the Constituent Assembly election and drafting the democratic constitution, saying she occupied an important place in the movement against the Rana autocracy and the Panchayat rule.
Another CPN leader Bamdev Gautam said the role of leaders from Pushpa Lal to Sahana have played an historic role to spreading the communist ideology in Nepal in an organised manner.
The late leader Pradhan had worked as the Chair of the Left Front during the 1990 people's movement.
The Sahana Pradhan Memorial Foundation has been formed under the leadership of youth leader Ram Kumari Jhankri. (RSS/ANI)
