US jails FBI's undercover Pakistani agent for seven years

Speaking at a Women's History Month event at the White House, the US president said he had been fully briefed on the situation and described the incident as "terrible."

"FBI personnel are on the scene with partners in Michigan and responding to the apparent vehicle ramming and active shooter situation out of Temple Israel Synagogue in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan. @FBIDetroit," Patel posted on X, adding that the bureau's FBI Detroit Field Office was involved in the response.

In a post on X, Patel said, "FBI personnel are providing assistance and working with local authorities responding to the shooting at Old Dominion University. We will update as able."

Pakistani security forces reportedly conducted raids across Balochistan's Surab, Gwadar, and Turbat districts, leading to allegations of property damage and civilian mistreatment. Locals and the Baloch Yakjehti Committee claimed authorities destroyed homes and fuel stocks, severely impacting livelihoods during Ramadan, while night raids in Turbat sparked further human rights concerns.

The PIB Fact Check said that Dwivedi has made no such claim.

The preliminary analysis of the device which was ignited and thrown at a protest outside the residence of New York City's Mayor Zohran Mamdani's was revealed to be an improvised explosive device, according to the analysis by the NYPD Bomb Squad. The NYPD has identified the two men arrested in this regard and mentioned that it is working along with partners at the FBI through its Joint Terrorism Task Force.
