UN's Jean Pierre Lacroix thanks India for contribution to peacekeeping

New Delhi [India], June 30 (ANI): United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Jean Pierre Lacroix thanked India for her contribution to UN Peacekeeping.
A delegation under Lacroix, along with Military Advisor Lt Gen Carlos Loitey, Police Advisor Luis Carrillo, UN DPKO are on a three-day visit to India from 28-30 June.
The aim of the visit is to thank India for her contribution to UN peacekeeping and discuss contemporary issues related to peacekeeping.
The delegation interacted with Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra and Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat.
"They also witnessed an exercise with troops on UN Peacekeeping. An interactive session on contemporary issues related to Peacekeeping was also organised with senior officers of the Indian Army, Para-military forces as well as veterans who were associated with the UN Peacekeeping," the statement read.(ANI)
