New Delhi [India], June 11 (ANI): United States President Donald Trump will depart from Singapore tomorrow (Tuesday) following his historic meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, a day earlier than expected.
According to Singapore media, Trump will depart tomorrow at around 7 p.m. from the Paya Lebar Airbase.
Earlier, the White House on Monday issued a statement saying that Trump will depart from Singapore on Tuesday.
The White House, in the statement, said that the ongoing discussions between the United States and North Korea had moved faster than expected.
"President Donald J. Trump will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. Following the initial greeting, President Trump and Chairman Kim will participate in a one-on-one meeting, with translators only, an expanded bilateral meeting, and a working lunch," it added.
The United States delegation at the bilateral meeting will include Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Chief of Staff John Kelly, and National Security Advisor John Bolton. Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, Ambassador Sung Kim, and National Security Council Senior Director for Asia Matt Pottinger will join for the working lunch, the statement noted.
The United States-North Korea summit is scheduled to happen in Singapore's Capella Hotel on Sentosa Island.
