New Delhi [India], January 3 (ANI): Reacting to the "It takes two to tango" remarks of Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on the relationship with India, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the "relevant T word" with reference to Pakistan is 'terrorism'.
"The relevant 'T' word there is 'terrorism' and not 'tango'..." MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a weekly press briefing on Friday.
Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday (local time) urged India to improve ties between both countries and said "it takes two to tango," as reported by ARY News.
Speaking about Pakistan's trade ties with India, Dar emphasised the need to create an environment to help improve the relations.
The MEA also refuted the media report alleging India's hand behind multiple killings in Pakistan and pointed to earlier remarks by former US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton on terrorism.
Responding to the media report, MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, "Both the newspaper and the reporter in question appear to nurse a compulsive hostility towards India. You can see a pattern in their activities. I leave you to judge their credibility. As far as we are concerned they have none."
He added, "As far as Pakistan is also mentioned in article so on Pakistan I would like to remind you what Hillary Clinton said, she said and I quote, "You can't keep snakes in your backyard and expect them only to bite your neighbours." (ANI)
