SCO Summit 2018: PM Modi to hold bilateral meeting with Xi

New Delhi [India], June 7 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation summit, scheduled to be held on June 9 in the Chinese city of Qingdao.

New Delhi [India], June 7 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation summit, scheduled to be held on June 9 in the Chinese city of Qingdao.
During the press briefing by the Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday, it was informed that Prime Minister Modi will be participating in the 18th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit.
Further, Prime Minister Modi will hold meetings with various leaders of Central Asian countries.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation was formed in 2001. Among its members are Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, India, and Pakistan.
Earlier in May, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj along with Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited China to take part in preparations for the upcoming SCO summit. (ANI)
