Foreign policy expert Phunchok Stobdan

New Delhi [India], May 21 (ANI): If Russia goes on sending weapons to Pakistan or support elements like Taliban; it will hamper relations with India, said foreign policy expert Phunchok Stobdan on Monday.
While talking to ANI, Stobdan said there are issues with Afghanistan, Syria and North Korea which might influence the on-going summit.
"Issue of Afghanistan, Syria and North Korea are taking place. We also had misconceptions with Russia and Afghanistan", Stobdan said.
He further believed that the on-going Indo-Russian informal summit would help to resolve these issues.
Slobodan also mentioned of the United States' decision to leave the Iran Nuclear deal, which might impact India.
He further said that the United Nations is becoming a hurdle for the security system of India.
"If a company is conducting a business with both Iran and Iran then that country may get sanctioned with the US which is not acceptable to us. Trump is doing things like trade-war with China, tomorrow China may stop by buying Indian goods."
The US and China had issued retaliatory tariffs on each other citing imbalance trade by China. Though, none of the tariffs was applied.
He further mentioned of a strategy of the US "Countering American adversaries through sanctions" as he said, " It is so powerful within US territories that if India will buy any defence equipment from Russia we will be sanctioned which means we can't buy weapons from Russia anymore."
He also said that Russia will soon buy S3100 anti-missile from India. (ANI)
